Righty: White people created Western Civilization and all its wonders. We built everything of note from the Parthenon to the personal computer. We explored the world from top to bottom, delivered most of it from ignorance and savagery, spread the Gospel, advanced the frontiers of science, discovered cures for dreaded diseases, and founded numerous great nations, including, of course, the United States. White people were designed by nature to rule. Why shouldn’t we band together and resist the steady erosion of our culture by foreign elements? Why is it OK for black people to celebrate black power when we’re not allowed to promote white power? We detect a double standard here, and we’d better do something about it before white societies are completely overrun by hostile dark-skinned immigrants who breed like mosquitoes. White people are already an endangered species, and the world won’t realize it until it’s too late. Self-hating white liberals like Lefty are probably our worst enemy. Two hundred years from now, Lefty, your coffee-colored great-great grandchildren will probably have to visit Iceland or Iowa to see actual specimens of white people.
Lefty: White racism has given us slavery, the Ku Klux Klan, Nazism and the Holocaust. Quite a legacy there! White supremacists are almost without exception moronic, malevolent, impotent psychopaths. (How could anyone believe in the notion of white superiority after watching these clowns in action?) What do white people have to celebrate other than a heritage of greed, exploitation, war, materialism and bad dancing (Fred Astaire and a few others excepted)? African Americans and other minorities are entitled to celebrate their cultures because they’ve been the victims of systematic white oppression. They must be given a chance to undo centuries of forced hypnosis that essentially told them “White is right.” There has never been a white pride movement capable of divorcing itself from racism. It is a poisonous issue that must be banished from every forum of civilized discourse.
The New Moderate:
The New Moderate must acknowledge Righty’s gripe about a double standard that allows dark-skinned minorities, but not white people, to celebrate their race-based cultures. I must also support Lefty’s contention that every “white pride” movement that has ever existed seems to have been tainted with obnoxious strains of racism. Why can’t white people simply look after their interests without bashing their darker brethren? Until they can, anyone who espouses white power or even white rights will be condemned (and justifiably so) as racist. (It might be that all ethnic “pride” celebrations are essentially racist or chauvinistic, regardless of who is doing the celebrating.)
Why would The New Moderate suggest that white people might want to “look after their interests”? Aren’t we slowly sinking into the bottomless bog of racism here? Stay with me for a moment. If current demographic trends continue unchecked, whites of European ancestry will account for less than half the population in both North America and Western Europe within half a century. In other words, white people will officially be a minority group. This revolutionary shift in population will forever alter the nature of Western societies and their cultures. (Forever is a LONG time, in case you’re not convinced.) It is not unreasonable to assume that the United States will eventually be speaking Spanish as its primary language, or that minarets will be sprouting alongside the abandoned cathedrals of France and England. And there is nothing wrong — repeat, NOTHING WRONG — with expressing dismay at this development. In fact, it might be desirable and even heroic to prevent it from happening. We’ve become so sensitized to leftist accusations of racism, and so bankrupt as a civilization, that we’re willing to just roll over and let the forces of history have their way with us.
There is nothing racist about simple self-preservation. I’m not even of European stock (my ancestors were Armenian Christians from the Ottoman Empire), and yet I’d mourn the disappearance of blond hair, blue eyes and freckles from our midst. I’d hate to see fine old languages like Dutch and Danish frittered into extinction. As much as I love Middle Eastern food, I’d never want it to replace the meaty succulence of German cooking or the epicurean delights of French. The New Moderate loves all nationalities in their infinite variety and would be loath to see any of them go the way of the dodo. I’d be just as unhappy if Americans settled en masse in the Middle East, reproduced out of control and festooned the stark landscape with golf courses and endless rows of McMansions.
How can white people “look after their interests”? Definitely not by mobilizing into fascist brigades, spouting racist diatribes or rounding up everyone who doesn’t fit the desired mold. No, if the white residents of North America and Western Europe don’t want to see their societies changed beyond recognition, they should simply do everything in their power to reverse the internal rot that has put them in this melancholy predicament. That means encouraging their own people to work at jobs they’ve been content to assign to immigrants. It means restricting immigration and downsizing the cushy welfare systems that attract foreigners who choose not to work. It means creating a vigorous culture that shuns cheap values and empty materialism. It means daring to sacrifice a little comfort for the scary proposition of having children. You can’t expect a race to survive when it lacks the resolve to reproduce.
The gods have always favored the hardy over the refined, in nations as well as individuals. The nations of the West (and especially Western Europe) are looking dangerously anemic right now. It might be that today’s white-dominated societies won’t survive in any form unless they receive an infusion of vitality from darker-hued populations. If those populations absorb Western values along the way, the darkening of Europe and America might actually be something to celebrate. But if those alien populations continue to multiply while remaining hostile to their host societies, the entire West can look forward to joining the Hittites, Babylonians, Phoenicians and Carthaginians in history’s dustbin.
Summary: White people of European stock have a right to look after their interests, especially in light of current demographic trends in the U.S. and Western Europe. Unfortunately, virtually every “white rights” movement has been laden with racism. What to do? Western societies need to shun decadence, depend less on foreign labor, and resolve to reproduce!
THE NEW MODERATE 
Not every “white Pride” movement is racist, only the ones called “white pride.” To be fair, most history (taught in American schools) is “white history” or Western history. Generally about how they conquered each other and most of the other races… Every time minority history is taught, it’s done so as part of Black history month, ECT. That’s not really a bad thing, we should know more about the cultures that comprise the country, as that (in theory) combats racism. Also, it’s not that the history of say, Uganda isn’t important, it’s that it just might not be as important to Americans/Westerners as the history of their own nations. Even if said history is how Europe abused and robbed all the other countries in the world. History isn’t racist, it is the facts, it only becomes racist when tinged by the bias of the writers. (vitors/white people…) I submit for example, The Civil War vs. The War of Northern Agression.
What you said makes sense in the way where they are sentences in order (not an insult) but the message you tried to get across was all over te place and I many ways prove the authors point, to me at least. In the sense that it seems you are not even sure how you feel and in the first half defend the idea that we havent shaken our “White Roots” for the lack of a better term, & in the 2nd half you pull the guilt card saying we would rather learn about our history of having other races submit which implies in itself a sense of racial superiority. Which again proves the authors point of being unable to seperate having pride in your racial ancestory dettached from thinking other races are inferior to it.
Even if said history is how Europe abused and robbed all the other countries in the world is really null and void.The arabs, blacks and asians conquered more land and killed more than whites ever did but I’m sure they will never want to discuss their history. While no one group has a monopoly on evil some groups take this evil to depths before unseen. WWI and WWII, the holocaust, the enslavement of the African and the genocide of indigenous peoples are just few. That said, the unfortunate need for one group to feel superior for the sake of their ego and stunted imagination presents this group as immature, needy and wanting. Capitalism, democracy are primary means to address a particular loathsome personality that oppresses people who do not neatly fit into the narrow mental confines which define the dominant social and cultural structures which have historically affirmed their racist tendencies.
Before the times when the powerful nations made slaves, things weren’t too complicated in regard to racism. Then were only rich and poor people, but then there were wars and gathering of slaves (who usually were different in their races than their masters), and recently the complications appeared.
The slaves eventually regained their freedom, but not their “ticket” back to their native lands. Not as if the freed slaves wanted a “ticket” back anyway. I am not talking about US only. In Europe, freed slaved “blended” with the conquering nations but still were and are “noticed”.
Nowadays in the US, the cry against other races than “whites”, is ridiculous. The “whites” got what they deserved. If, in the South of the US, the “whites” were smart enough to develop machines to pick the cotton and process it, then the slaves were unnecessary. But they were powerful to kneel Africans, too stupid (technologically speaking), and too lazy to fix the problem they created. Today they are just trying to be working rednecks, but it is not helping too much.

Assuming that they chose the most attractive (symmetrical) representatives from those races, the result seemed adequate for the endeavor.
Pay close attention to that last statement. I said “adequate.”
Eyes not too light, not too dark. Skin just dark enough to not be Anglo. Moderately dark hair. None of the features are too big or small. It’s a completely homogenized face.

Amen. As a minority myself (I’m a mutt, actually), I’m well aware that one’s race has nothing to do with the deeper issues facing society and even civilization itself. But here is where the ideologies, specifically the left wing, begin to lose logical ground. Lefties tell us that the above homogenization is the desired result of a “diverse” society. Yet, when everyone looks the same–the inevitable result of a complete mix–there will BE no diversity. Of course I’m not saying races shouldn’t mix, but as Mr. Bayan suggested above, choosing not to doesn’t automatically make one “racist.” The issue of race is complex since, in the modern discourse, it is inextricable from culture. But every time you add something else to the “melting pot,” the initial solution is further diluted. This makes for a bland palette indeed.
The right wing’s folly in this is indifference. For as long as I can remember–I’m in my 30s–they have completely ignored the plight, however seemingly specious, of minorities in our culture. Some of those minorities have legitimate gripes, and when you sweep all of them into a “lazy, greedy, whiny” pile, is the reaction that surprising?
Obsession with race is one of the extremes we moderates must combat, for it overshadows the real issues concerning racial discrimination in a diverse culture. There certainly are way too many minorities crying wolf. I’m sickened, too, at seeing that, in the last decade at least, middle class whites have been following suit. Diversity, however, can only be achieved by preserving the traits that actually make us diverse. In other words, let’s not guilt our metropolitan or suburban white yuppies for choosing (and as the evidence shows you, more and more rarely) not to mix with black, hispanic and sometimes asian urbanites. (Yes, the stereotype was intentional. Send over the PC police.) We can call out the true racists–those who make their choices based upon fear, ignorance, and hate. These are the cancers of our society.
And yet we can’t, and shouldn’t, force everyone to love each other.
Great post, greyfoot. I go back and forth in my thinking on racial mingling. Yes, I love the variety of ethnicities, down to their food and their physical appearance. At the same time, I don’t think racial tensions will ever die 0ut unless we merge our genes — at least in the U.S. We’re a nation of immigrants, so maybe we should forge a new American “race.”
I feel different when it comes to the nationalities of Europe, though. Here we have thousand-year-old cultures that are being threatened by Muslim immigrants who are essentially hostile to their host societies. I don’t think there’s much mingling at this point (the cultural hostility is keeping them divided into two societies)… but down the road I see a dilution and even extinction of European cultures, and that would be a tragedy.
Not all Muslims are hostile to European societies which have tratitionally been Christian or secular. There are extremists however. If people want to put up minarets, eat halal meat and wear the hijab if female, fine by me. As long as we don’t all have to do it. (I’d prefer it if they accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, not merely as a prophet, of course, but that’s between them and god at the end of the day.)
What I really don’t like is the cultural apartheid- this is the Asian books section, this is the Asian food store, this is the Asian radio station… are white people not allowed?

The reasons given for the immigration in to European countries, is that we have an ageing population and not enough children being born to support them in their old age. The governments of western Europe are trying to scare their populations in to accepting immigration because if they don’t, then when their old and weak there will not be enough young people to look after them. If this is the case and they seem to have known for years that it was the case but its still years in the future; why don’t they encourage the native white populations to have more children. Give people with children tax incentives and anything else that will encourage large families. If people were given the choice of, paying slightly more tax to finance these incentives to have more children, or continue with immigration at its current levels; they’ll pay more, if it means keeping their country theirs…
This is not true at all. These nations were fine for centuries. There are 35 other nations other than canada who have lower birth rates.
And you obviously think those of us who don’t have kids are frivolous in our reasons…because since we are different from YOU, we can’t possible be serious. But guess what, most people who choose not to have kids aren’t just doing it to avoid “inconvenience”. It is a deeply thought out decision that is a fundamental part of our life’s journey. And stop belittling us. I do not belittle those with children or who want them. I believe in the best education for our kids as possible..all of them…because it makes us all better. but part of being educated means you get to choose. And not everyone will choose like you.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, Cindy. I’m not mandating that middle class folks have to have kids to justify their existence here. (I’m just encouraging them.) I understand that not everyone wants or needs to be a parent. My concern is a demographic one: I’m concerned about the future of the endangered middle class, which is vital to civilization as we know it (or what’s left of it).
When poor people have the preponderance of children, the next generation will reflect the birth differential between middle class and poor. Move three or four generations down the line, with a continuing dearth of middle class births, and how are the remaining middle class people going to provide entitlements for all those poor folks? How will the government function when only a small percentage of the population is paying taxes? That’s the “problem” I have with the low middle class birth rate.

I am sick of some white supremacists ignorantly and (might I add) tactlessly talking of other races of people as less-than-animals (like on stormfront). But what infuriates me more is the illogical and hypocritical liberal agenda which makes any discussion of white self-preservation inherently racist. If you frequently read feminist blogs and SJW’s tumblr blogs, you’ll notice the hatred for white people is real (especially males) and they constantly talk of white privilege as a cultural injustice of the highest order which must be corrected by reverse racism (very few say this, but there are very direct implications)
I think the real white privilege is that whites have, on average, genetically ‘superior traits’ due to their European ancestors who faced extreme hardships due to the cold climate over hundreds of thousands of years and were forced to evolve (by dying in large numbers). We all are living in a world of GMO products, where agricultural products are now been created to produce more for market demands, through genetical modification. Scientist have taken the strongest and most resistance plant and animal, to be used, to cultivate the future plants and animals, so as to withstand the foreign elements that would have attacked it, giving it a longer life span. Today, so much products are packaged for a longer shelf life, giving consumer’s access to products that can be shipped from far distances without spoiling. Even before genetic research, farmers did their own cross breading to get the best crop out in the fields, and life stock, such as cattle and sheep, the strongest male would have been used to create the best breed for its’ survival.
When we look at what was done to the black race during slavery, it mirrors the same as GMO. Slave masters wanted the strongest and the hard working to function in the fields, cultivating and harvesting cotton and sugarcane. The strongest of the male would have been placed with the healthy females creating an offspring to be the perfect slave. Huts were created as breading areas for these slaves and are monitored by their slave masters to ensure a well-functioning machinery. This would have been done regularly so the generation to come would be much stronger with greater sizes and brawn to work harder and not be unfit or idle to these slave masters.
Brains was not needed at the time for it was not, what these slave masters wanted from their products (slaves). When you look at GMO products today we see that it is large and resistant to many diseases, but lack its natural sweetness, sometimes losing it natural structure, making it difficult to have an offspring that can be seen as the original product that was once created from it. Most large scale, GMO, crops cannot be replanted from seeds of those plants, all because of not having any seeds at all. This is what happens when certain aspect of the plant is taken out so as to encourage what is required of it, bulk and shelf life.

I was with you for that first paragraph, but then you lost me, as your entire argument seems based on major assumptions. If whites do become a minority, by the reckoning of the US census, what does that MEAN exactly? That the other races are going to overwrite white culture? I think the real question is, how much of our culture is tied to race, and how much is tied to income and national identity?
Typically, within a generation or two, immigrant children are absorbed into a greater American culture simply by growing up in our school systems and interacting with our children. Generally, a second generation Chinese boy in college will act just as “white” as a white guy. I’m willing to bet you’d see a lot more McDonald’s and Starbucks in Chinatown if you cut off all immigration for a generation. Because that’s not “white” culture, that’s American culture. As for genetic purity, I find those arguments to be entirely unconvincing. In Utero genetic modification is right around the corner, and if whites are due to become a minority in half a century by some vague, bureaucratic reckoning, it’ll still be CENTURIES before the US is run by goobacks (google it).
Before you point to the blacks, it should be noted that this sort of assimilation occurs more slowly among lower income communities, with their natural inclination towards resentment and distrust. Up until this post, I’ve either agreed fully with your posts or mostly, but even when there were parts I disagreed with (moderates don’t think alike on everything!), I could at least reason with your point of view. This time I believe you not only 100% missed the mark of moderateness; you are expressing the views of white supremacy and xenophobia. Hence, on this topic you certainly aren’t moderate.
Did you refer to the white population as the host society of America? If so, why would you think that? Perhaps your childhood school books failed to mention that whites were hostile immigrants (really, invaders) to this land populated with indigenous people of color. But looking at current times, aren’t we all Americans who immigrated here, enriching the culture mix of our country?
Then I wonder, who are you including in your definition of white? Are Italians white? Are Spaniards white? I too am of Armenian descent and I know my great aunts certainly didn’t look white. So, in marriage, are you saying Anglo-Saxons should not marry those of Italian descent? Or Spaniard descent? Or Armenian descent? Or anyone who won’t produce blue eyed, blond-haired children? (hmmm…that sounds familiar) Or is the concern REALLY about Anglos marrying African Americans. I guess Anglos marrying Asians are out of the question as well.
I think the real fear here is about becoming a minority. And it’s not because we fear not eating sauerkraut and potato pancakes (no one would take that away!). We white people are afraid of not being the ruling class because…well we know from experience how the ruling class treats minorities. But consider, perhaps schoolchildren may learn real American history – the true reasons the south seceded from the United States (my history teacher taught us that it had NOTHING to do with slavery), that our presidents were mostly honorable but had flaws, that the American heroes of the world wars, the first moonwalk and even the development of the atomic bomb were Americans of all races, religions and genders. And perhaps this would be taught throughout the school-year, not just one month dedicated to one race but nine months of true history, celebrating all contributions. As I read back through this paragraph, I can’t help to understand why the largest American minority group NEEDS to instill pride, unlike my fellow white man who has more pride than deserved.
Frankly, The New Moderate, I’m very disappointed that you feel this way. I urge you to look for ways to grow. I’m far from perfect in my self-actualization when it comes to race, culture and society. At times I sit on my white privilege but I’m pushing my 60-something self to become a better person and member of a diverse society. I encourage you to do the same.
